New Features of Parking Sensor

Holden is set to introduce an optional rearview camera for all Sportwagon models, bolstering its relatives oriented practicality.

The camera will utilise the full colour screen on Calais, Calais V-Series and SS V-Series Sportwagon while all other Sportwagon models will feature an integrated rearview mirror screen.

The video camera is mounted in the rearview mirror and it functions as a blind spot reduction, backup camera, as well as a DVR. It records to SD card and records not only the video picture, but equally important is the time and date. And with SD cards, removal of the video clips to play on your PC is simple. And what’s icy is that the rear view mirror Automobile Camera Recorder works along with your existing rearview mirror as an overlay, so there’s no pricey and time consuming installation method to replace the stock mirror. It slips right over it.

Ultrasonic waves (or ultrasound) are sound waves with frequencies greater than can
be heard by a human (>20kHz). Ultrasonic waves propagate at the sound speed,
which depends both on temperature and humidity of air. The sound speed dependence on temperature can be approximated by in dry air, where is the air temperature in ͦC. There is also a small dependence on humidity, with increasing by up to 0.5% with increasing humidity. Similarly to sound waves being produced by the mechanical vibrations of a loudspeaker membrane, ultrasound is produced by converting electrical pulses into mechanical vibrations of a membrane. The buildup of ultrasound emitters and ultrasound receivers (both called ultrasonic transducers) is identical.

As a receiver, the transducer converts mechanical vibrations (due to the ultrasonic waves
impinging on a membrane) into electrical pulses. As an emitter, the transducer
converts electrical pulses into mechanical vibrations. The conversion from mechanical vibrations to electrical pulses and vice versa is achieved with a so-called piezoelectric material (typically a ceramic) that is attached to the membrane. When a voltage is applied across the length of a piezoelectric sample, the length of the sample change slightly. Thus, applying an alternating voltage of parking sensor at a certain frequencyto the piezoelectric sample causes the membrane to oscillate at that frequency.
